Charles Spitzack is a Pacific Northwest based artist specializing in traditional woodcut printmaking. He first discovered printmaking at Highpoint Center in Minneapolis and continued his studies at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. Represented by Armstrong Fine Art and published by Pomegranate Communications, Spitzack maintains a dedicated studio practice, teaches woodcut classes, works as a carpenter, and serves as Board President of Seattle Print Arts, where he supports and advocates for regional printmakers. His hand-printing process builds on traditional techniques through ongoing personal exploration, offering a deliberate, tactile counterpoint to today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world.
