Maggie Yale (they/them) has been a builder and a maker their whole life. They started working with clay 2 years ago and were instantly infatuated with the medium, intrigued by simple forms and tasks that create unexpected and complex objects. Maggie uses their art practice to process; to move through, and as a way of keeping time and passing it. Maggie works with the motif of chains. They wish to break the chains that bind us to the gender binary, to capitalism, to social constructs we never agreed to, and to create new bonds within a chosen community that holds and strengthens us as a whole. No one ring is very compelling on its own, but look at what happens when hundreds join together.
