This catalogue is published by the Frye Art Museum in conjunction with the juried exhibition Celebrating American Poetry (March 27–May 10, 1998), organized jointly by the Frye Art Museum and Letter Arts Review.
With American Poetry as their theme, the exhibition contributors found stimulating ways to play with ideas and interpretations. This exhibition reflects the variety of contemporary letter arts, ranging from traditional calligraphy to three-dimensional pieces in stone, glass, or plastic.
