Wangden Rug

This rug is made of naturally dyed Tibetan highland wool with a fluffy and hairy high pile border. Though the design is contemporary, the form and sculptural quality of the rug is inspired by Wangden rugs which were commissioned by monasteries in Nepal as meditation mats.

Studio Tenjung  was created by Tenzin Tsomo. Designed in Seattle, this line of contemporary hand-knotted rugs are made in Nepal with naturally dyed Tibetan highland wool.
