This catalogue was published by the Frye Art Museum in conjunction with the exhibition Viewpoints (January 12–March 4, 2001). Viewpoints is a continuing series of exhibitions devoted to the work of contemporary artists who are redefining the concepts of representation and content in modern painting.

Lillian Broca’s series of works Mirrors and Reflections center around the mythological heroine Lilith. Lilith serves to reclaim the narrative of the heroine, portrayed by an athletic and idealized figure in the best neo-classical tradition.

This volume includes an introduction by Roger H. Boulet, essay by Letia Richardson, 10 color illustrations along with an exhibition checklist and biography of the artist.
